My favorite it epic movie music.  (James Newton Howard, Cater Burwell, Hans Zimmer, Howard Shore and Marc Streitenfeld)

I also listen to:  Coldplay, The Calling, Daughtry, Hinder, Lifehouse, Maroon 5, Nickelback, Pink, Nightwish, Shinedown, 3 Doors Down and others.

For the best action adventure writing I like moving music with a sense of mystery.  Slower instrumentals are good for thinking scenes.
